Diddley Squat is a nationally touring act whose original blues songs and unique arrangements of cover tunes include most of the blues styles … swinging-jump being their specialty. This highly entertaining band hails from the wooded East Texas area, and is comprised of five dedicated and talented musicians. Each brings their own rich history to the stage as they come together in perfect sync to deliver a high-energy blues experience you won't soon forget. Diddley Squat has been honored to compete three times at The International Blues Challenge (IBC) in Memphis, chosen as representatives of three different blues societies. The IBC is the annual competition sponsored by the Blues Foundation for the purpose of recognizing the world’s finest unsigned blues musicians. Diddley Squat has shared the stage with entertainers such as Pinetop Perkins, Delbert McClinton, Hubert Sumlin, Bob Margolin, Bugs Henderson, Big Jack Johnson, Little Milton, Bobby Rush, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Coco Robicheaux, Bonnie Bramlett, and Willie ‘Big Eyes’ Smith. With 3 self-released albums to their credit, Diddley Squat has received international radio airplay. Their 3rd release - Live - was named Best Self-Produced CD by the IBC.
