Nerak Roth Patterson is a prolific songwriter, musician, and entertainer. Roth has played the blues with various groups for several years from the USA to Europe, and now headlines his own band and continues to travel throughout the world.
His recordings include, Live at the Cascade with Shade, Hotsauce N Blues, which features Guy Davis, Back In The Day, Bluesdaddy, which features Ian Anderson and Doane Perry of Jethro Tull, and Guy Davis, and his latest accomplishment "Brown Angel", a 2006 release that won the 2008 top 10 best blues albums of the year according to Pollstar and Soundguardian and again featured Ian Anderson and Doane Perry of Jethro Tull, as well as Guy Davis. Brown Angel continues to soar the charts even in 2011!
Nerak has been on the stage with some of the most influential bluesman in the world today. He has shared the stage with Pinetop Perkins, Corey Harris, B.B. King, Big Jack Johnson, Henry Butler, Jethro Tull, and Guy Davis, just to name a few.
Nerak Roth expresses his love for the Blues as a dynamic guitar player, vocalist, and songwriter. He relies on his true-life experiences, from his trucking career to his children and his deep belief in God. Education is not out of the picture either; he just completed his Bachelor's or Arts degree in Human Development from Antioch University Midwest in Yellow Springs, Ohio. From education to his rich cultural background, he has a world of knowledge and understanding that is complimentary to his music.
"Nerak Roth recently toured Italy and Switzerland in June and returned in July to complete his new Cd project which is set to release in early fall 2011.
His passion comes from his deep interest in the history of the blues and drawing on experiences from his own life. In his own words, "The Blues is a way of life. Live it to the fullest, and thank God for every day you have.
