Salt Lake City isn't one of the first places that come to mind when thinking of blues music, but for Tony Holiday that's where he found it. Growing up on country and bluegrass music by way of people like George Jones, Hank Williams and Bill Monroe Tony was in love with music from an early age.

Tony quoted that "time completely stopped" when he heard Little Walter's "Juke" he said he knew than what he wanted to do and began playing the harmonica passionately.

Tony joined a couple bands as a lead guitar player and he was heavily influenced by then front man Jordan Young. Holiday picked up what he  could from his experience with Young and started Tony Holiday and the Velvetones.

Tony found Lanny Stone to take the role of lead guitar player in 2014 and things began to make sense, landing gigs to open for people like Willie Nelson and Blind Boys of Alabama. Stone, 21 at the time, was known to have been some what of a child prodigy being able to play legitimately at age of 12.

Holiday and Stone co-front the band and co-write all the songs, leaving Joel Meza (drums) and Cody Downs (bass) to lay the groove. Tony Holiday and the Velvetones tour the U.S.A most the year coast to coast, and will be debuting in Europe September 2017.

Tony has shared the stage with Willie Nelson, Beth Hart , Jimmy Vaughan, Blind Boys of Alabama, W.C Clark, John Nemeth, Guitar Shorty, Mark Hummel, Lazy Lester, Curtis Salgado, Tinsley Ellis, Aki Kumar, Greg Izor, Brandon Santini , Adam Gussow and many more.
